He and I met uh we were both since 2013. He and I met uh we were both since 2013. He and I met uh we were both kind of well, I was full-time with the kind of well, I was full-time with the kind of well, I was full-time with the family company that and he was outside family company that and he was outside family company that and he was outside sales. sales. sales. And we you know, we worked together. I And we you know, we worked together. I And we you know, we worked together. I was kind of the he would go sell it, I was kind of the he would go sell it, I was kind of the he would go sell it, I would support it, and you know how that would support it, and you know how that would support it, and you know how that works. And it's like just getting entrepreneurs and it's like just getting entrepreneurs and it's like just getting entrepreneurs and business owners together on a regular business owners together on a regular business owners together on a regular basis for uh long enough to where they basis for uh long enough to where they basis for uh long enough to where they let their guard down, and they start let their guard down, and they start let their guard down, and they start telling each other the truth. And then um through working with like uh Catholic University, and with like uh Catholic University, and with like uh Catholic University, and then ultimately getting involved with then ultimately getting involved with then ultimately getting involved with Legacy Group, Legacy Group, Legacy Group, peer-based learning was core to how do peer-based learning was core to how do peer-based learning was core to how do you take these theoretical ideas of you take these theoretical ideas of you take these theoretical ideas of entrepreneurship and put them into practice, like actually, put them into practice, like actually, put them into practice, like actually, valuably, and quickly. And so when you valuably, and quickly. And so when you valuably, and quickly. And so when you gather people that are in this journey gather people that are in this journey gather people that are in this journey together in groups, you get the benefit together in groups, you get the benefit together in groups, you get the benefit of nine or sometimes 15 other people's of nine or sometimes 15 other people's of nine or sometimes 15 other people's experience with the thing that you're experience with the thing that you're experience with the thing that you're you're going through. And all of it is you're going through. And all of it is you're going through. And all of it is practical. All of it is in the market, practical. All of it is in the market, practical. All of it is in the market, live action. I did this, here's what live action. I did this, here's what live action. I did this, here's what happened. The accelerated learning of of happened. The accelerated learning of of happened. The accelerated learning of of peer-based learning is like my favorite peer-based learning is like my favorite peer-based learning is like my favorite thing in the world. I mean, I've thing in the world. I mean, I've thing in the world. I mean, I've [clears throat] I'm just um I love to [clears throat] I'm just um I love to [clears throat] I'm just um I love to learn. I'm a professional learner. And learn. I'm a professional learner. And learn. I'm a professional learner. And but I always want to try to break this but I always want to try to break this but I always want to try to break this uh uh uh this like kind of failure of learning this like kind of failure of learning this like kind of failure of learning that well that's great in theory John, that well that's great in theory John, that well that's great in theory John, right? There's that old saw of those who right? There's that old saw of those who right? There's that old saw of those who can't teach which is can't teach which is can't teach which is ridiculous by the way. We can talk about ridiculous by the way. Um but the impetus to make it do something but the impetus to make it do something but the impetus to make it do something of value in the real world like actually of value in the real world like actually of value in the real world like actually help people, help people, help people, that's what peer-based learning does and that's what peer-based learning does and that's what peer-based learning does and that's all Acumen does. To teach vocational entrepreneurship, but teach vocational entrepreneurship, but teach vocational entrepreneurship, but also helps the university in a lot of also helps the university in a lot of also helps the university in a lot of ways, right? Fill the funnel, express ways, right? Fill the funnel, express ways, right? Fill the funnel, express the brand, but also like the kids that the brand, but also like the kids that the brand, but also like the kids that were showing up had a lot of like bad were showing up had a lot of like bad were showing up had a lot of like bad habits about and bad uh paradigms about habits about and bad uh paradigms about habits about and bad uh paradigms about what entrepreneurship was, right? Mostly what entrepreneurship was, right? Mostly what entrepreneurship was, right? Mostly basically it was disintegrated, right? basically it was disintegrated, right? basically it was disintegrated, right? And everybody's online and they were like, were like, were like, hey, maybe you could come on full-time hey, maybe you could come on full-time hey, maybe you could come on full-time because now there's more opportunity for because now there's more opportunity for because now there's more opportunity for us to disseminate this and we're going us to disseminate this and we're going us to disseminate this and we're going to need support. Some you know, somebody's going to need to train these somebody's going to need to train these somebody's going to need to train these teachers on how to do it. And I was teachers on how to do it.
